One of the best tips ever for sofas too tall to stand in a truck/pod.

  • Place the front of the sofa on a piece of furniture with the feet facing the wall.

    • Place cushions and bags on top of the sofa. Nothing heavy as most sofa backs are mostly fabric. Too much weight will stretch or worse, tear it.

  • Most of the time, 2 nightstands or end tables will work.

    • This will create a "cubby" under the sofa.

    • Fill with box and get back to square with the end of the sofa.

  • There were not many dressers, so we stacked to chest so it wouldn't get too heavy on the bottom tote.

    • Then filled the top with bags and "stuffables".
